Rookie Secondary Principal of the Year
Tim Vialpando, Principal of Evergreen Middle School, was awarded "Rookie Secondary Principal of the Year" by the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) for his outstanding performance during the 2017-2018 school year. This award is given each year to a principal in their first three years who is regarded as an administrator who demonstrates remarkable leadership qualities, and makes a positive impact as an instructional leader, community leader, and innovative leader. Over the course of the past three years at Evergreen Middle School, Mr. V. has modeled what it means to be a creative risk taker and a champion for kids. He has shown up every day with a sense of curiosity and adventure that has inspired the entire Evergreen community. He has consistently empowered his staff to take risks in designing tasks to support authentic student learning. He has encouraged students and colleagues each and every day to be their best and strive for excellence.
